Monitoring audit successfully completed

HERRENBERG. LGI Logistics Group International GmbH has been recertified by an external auditing company. “All three certificates ISO9001, ISO14001 and VDA6.2 are important components for our existing customer relationships and important for future new business relationships,” says Heinzelmann.
Every year, LGI undergoes a monitoring audit to obtain the certificates. During this year’s audit from 29th July to 13th August, an external auditor examined whether and how LGI implements and applies the requirements of the ISO9001, ISO14001 and VDA6.2 standards in practice.
“The certificates not only demonstrate that LGI has a functioning quality management system, but also show customers that they are working with a very structured and well-organised company,” Heinzelmann explains. And this has been the case for a long time: LGI, for example, has been the proud holder of the ISO9001 standard since 1997.
How did the test take place? The first step in the document check was to check whether the implementation of the requirements had been correctly described and whether all regulations had been taken into account. In the second step, the logistics area was then checked. There LGI proved that the established regulations are also implemented in practice.
