LGI recertified according to GDP guidelines

WAGHÄUSEL. LGI Logistics Group International GmbH has been recertified in accordance with the guidelines of Good Distribution Practice (GDP). This was the result of an audit carried out by an external auditing company on 12 December 2018. “The recertification shows that our processes meet the strict requirements and our quality management system meets the high standards of the healthcare industry”, says Maximilian Gamperling, Division Manager of Healthcare Logistics.
LGI’s Healthcare Logistics division operates the logistics for customers in the medical technology sector and is also certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485. It stands for compliance with quality standards for medical technology products. With the seal “Good Distribution Practices”, which is essentially a proof of quality for the pharmaceutical industry, LGI even surpasses the usual standards for logistics in medical technology.
“Because products from medical technology and the pharmaceutical sector are increasingly coming into contact with each other, the proof of quality according to GDP is enormously important for us”, Gamperling explains. The “Good Distribution Practices” have already been in force for some time as a European guideline and are regarded as proof of quality and integrity in the distribution of medicines. Among other things, it prescribes standards for the training of employees or the design of the storage location and distribution.
